The Borough of West Wildwood will be celebrating their annual American Family Festival on Saturday, June 28, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. The event will be like a touch of “Mayberry” in the Wildwoods. There will be a parade which will feature children who have decorated their bikes, pets in costume, the Boys and Girl Scouts, the West Wildwood Fire Company and the Wildwood High School marching band, just to name a few participants. There will also be a spectacular display of fireworks.
Parents can register their children for the parade between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the day of the event. They will receive decorations for their bikes and there will be a trophy presentation after the parade. Parents are reminded to bring sunscreen and cameras for the event.
After the parade there will be craft vendors along with a local DJ who will entertain with music from the 50s and on. We will have a quartet who will be singing live during the festival. Also, there will be a beer garden and food vendors where you can get anything from hot dogs to ribs. For the kids, the festival will feature a free bubble bounce and obstacle course to keep them entertained.
The West Wildwood annual fireworks display will occur at dusk and should be a perfect way to end the celebration. Mayor Fox, Commissioner Golden and Commissioner Maxwell invite everyone to come out and enjoy the small town celebration.
