West Cape May To Honor ‘The Parade Lady’ Charlotte Daily

By Press Release

WEST CAPE MAY — West Cape May will honor Charlotte Daily, The Parade Lady who passed away earlier this year, by dedicating the lighting of the Holly Tree at Wilbraham Park Nov. 29 from 5:30 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.
“We are honored to dedicate this event in Charlotte’s name. She not only started the West Cape May Community Christmas parade 49 years ago,” said Mayor Pam Kaithern of West Cape May, “she also planted this tree with her 4H group. The event this year will include a fun community sing along, entertainment by musicians Robin and Amy, and complimentary hot chocolate and treats,” continued Kaithern.
The event is sponsored by the West Cape May Shade Tree Commission, Friends of Wilbraham Park and volunteers from the community.
“This is the second annual event and each year we plan to add more family fun elements,” added Commissioner Peter Burke. “We light the park in your honor Charlotte and hope you are looking down from above with a smile,” Burke continued.
“The event is free and we invite all to come out to the center of Wilbraham Park for some fun,” continued Kaithern.
