RIO GRANDE – This weekend Hawk Haven Vineyard & Winery kicked off their newest offering, a guided vineyard tour.
Guided tours will take place every Saturday and Sunday at 12 p.m., 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Reservations are suggested but not required.
For only $12 per person, an insightful guide will take you on a tour through the vineyard as well a tasting of all seven wines. At the end, make sure to stop in the tasting room to purchase a bottle of wine to enjoy at home in your complimentary souvenir tasting glass.
Weekends are alive at Hawk Haven Vineyard & Winery with a variety of special events.
Hawk Haven mixes up the wine with Sangria Sundays every Sunday from 12 to 7 p.m.
Sundays at the winery offer visitors a family friendly environment to enjoy wine by the glass, wine by the bottle, red or white home-made sangria and our popular frozen strawberry rosaritas.
Island Grill provides guests with a full lunch menu to choose from complimented by Hawk Haven’s regular selection of cheese plates and gourmet snacks. Take a seat on the patio or under the tent to enjoy the live music from 1 to 7 p.m.
This Saturday, July 24th, Hawk Haven teams up with celebrity Chef Barry Sexton for a dinner wine pairing. Chef Sexton was classically trained for more than a decade under the tutelage of Master Chef Jean Pierre Tardy, the Executive Chef of Le Bec-Fin for seven years. This Saturday, Chef Sexton will prepare a four-course dinner in the barrel room and each course will be paired with a Hawk Haven wine. There is limited seating so call for reservations. Tickets are 75 dollars.
