THE WILDWOODS – A new event has SURFaced at Morey’s Piers. Wildwoods Surf Fest will attract surfers and surf fans to the award-winning Wildwood beach behind Raging Waters Waterpark on Morey’s Mariner’s Landing on Saturday, July 30.
Wildwoods Surf Fest will offer free surf lessons provided by Ocean Outfitters, Wild Ocean and Kona Surf and Sport to registered participants. Registration is free, but participants must sign up to reserve a time slot for surf lessons.
“We’re stoked to provide surf lessons to beginners and introduce new people into the surf community and lifestyle,” said Greg Forrest, Owner of Wild Ocean Surf Shop.
The festival will also feature a unique beer garden on the beach with live music by The Following, Dan Brown Duo and more, in addition to surf vendors and artists with items on display for sale. Wildwoods Surf Fest also features a classic surfer BBQ dinner and luau, as well as exclusive after-hours admission to Raging Waters Waterpark.
“The Wildwoods and surrounding shore areas have a lively surf community,” said Nick Lassor, Beach Sports Manager. “We wanted to create a unique event to celebrate that and bring together surfers, artists, vendors and musicians in our incredible beach environment.”
