MAYS LANDING — Atlantic Cape Community College’s Art Gallery will feature a “Celebration of Watercolor” by artist Robert Heyer, Nov. 8 through Dec. 10. A Gallery Talk with the artist and opening reception will be held 4:30-7:30 p.m., Fri., Nov. 12. The exhibit, lecture and reception are free and open to the public.
Heyer will exhibit full-sheet, half-sheet, quarter-sheet and miniature watercolors that explore exuberant light.
“It’s exciting and spontaneous – I call it ‘The Live Media,’ a characteristic which I find magical, making each time I paint an adventure,” Heyer said.
Heyer’s paintings have been included in many juried shows and private and corporate collections. In 2001, Heyer was the recipient of the prestigious Silver Medal of Honor Award from New Jersey Watercolor Society.
The artist is a member of numerous art organizations, including: The American Artists Professional League, Garden State Watercolor Society, Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, New Jersey American Artists Professional League, and the New Jersey Watercolor Society.
