Enjoy an overview (or underview!) of what Victorian ladies and gentlemen wore as undergarments during a ‘Show Us Your Undies’ Fashion Show and Brunch Monday, Oct. 13 at 10 a.m. at the Carriage House Café & Tearoom on the grounds of the 1879 Emlen Physick Estate, 1048 Washington St., part of Cape May’s 42nd annual Victorian Weekend, sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC).
Visitors can relive Cape May’s Victorian heyday during this weekend that includes house tours, living history programs, food and wine events, a crafts and antiques show, murder mystery dinners, trolley tours and more, from Friday, Oct. 10 through Monday, Oct. 13.
Don’t miss the opportunity to hear master storyteller, distinguished constitutional lawyer and award-winning author David O. Stewart deliver his lecture, “The Summer of 1787: The Men Who Invented the Constitution” the third lecture in the annual Lessons of History Distinguished Lecture Series on Sunday, Oct. 12 at 4 p.m. Step inside Cape May’s famous architectural gems on private homes tours, meet characters from the past on the new Cape May Time Capsule Trolley Tour, take a winery tour, savor dozens of different creations during the Chocolate Lover’s Feast, enjoy a champagne brunch and historic district walk, and more, during what the American Bus Association calls a “Top 100 Event in North America.”
