SEA ISLE – The Sea Isle City Tourism Department has announced that their upcoming summer concert on August 2, which features Jimmy and The Parrots, will take place at Excursion Park (JFK Boulevard and Pleasure Avenue) instead of on the town’s Promenade.
According to Diane Merson of the Tourism Department, organizers of Sea Isle’s free summer concerts, Jimmy and The Parrots are one of the most popular attractions on the Promenade each summer – so popular in fact that the large crowd once again expected to attend their show would be more comfortable on nearby Excursion Park.
“Jimmy and The Parrots is one of our biggest concerts of the season,” said Merson. “With so many spectators, we felt it would be best to relocate the concert to Excursion Park, where we can bring in a mobile stage. This will give the audience much more room and will allow everyone to spread out on blankets or in beach chairs.”
All are invited to attend Sea Isle’s free summer concerts. Those attending the Jimmy and The Parrots concert are reminded to bring their own chairs or blankets and also to arrive before 7:30 in order to get a good spot.
