MARMORA — This year marks a special time in Upper Township. It is not only the 215th anniversary of the Township, but also the 35th anniversary of the Historical Preservation Society of Upper Township. What a great time to celebrate!
The Township Committee and Historical Society have joined together to produce a fifty minute DVD of the History of Upper Township. It includes a multitude of photographs, music, documents, artifacts, maps, personalities, etc., and is narrated by local township people.
The movie will be shown throughout Upper Township and Cape May County to school groups, church groups, civic organizations and many other interested groups. It also will be available on the Upper Township website.
This well-packaged movie presentation describes the history of our beautiful and historic Upper Township and demonstrates the fine efforts of the Society and Township Committee.
The premier of this video will take place at the Anniversary celebration on Sept. 10, 2013 at the Upper Township Community Center at 7:00 p.m.
