*****
This much anticipated and world famous event celebrates the agricultural roots of West Cape May and South Jersey. Held annually on the Sat. of Columbus Day weekend, the Lima Bean Festival features all things lima, such as lima bean soup, lima bean chili, lima bean cookies, lima bean empanadas, lima bean crepes, lima bean hummus and even lima bean ice cream! There are also vendors selling lima bean pottery, lima bean jewelry, lima bean tshirts, lima bean birdhouses and lima bean stained glass.
In addition, crab cakes, barbeque, smoothies, and desserts will be available.
The crowning of the 2013 Lima Bean King and Queen takes place at 3 p.m.
Special this year, we are honored to have been asked to host a wedding at the lima bean festival. At 4 p.m., the stage will transform into a wedding chapel all decked out in Limas!
