The Avalon Free Public Library will hold Great Decisions Domestic Policy on Oct. 3 from 5:45 to 7:45 p.m.. The topic for Oct. 3 will be The U.S. Constitution. Registration is required.
Basket Weaving Workshop

Knitting Club
The Avalon Free Public Library will host Knitting Club on Oct. 7 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the library. All levels of knitters are welcome.
Smart Phone Users Group
The Avalon Free Public Library will hold a Smart Phone Users Group meeting on Oct. 7 from 5:30 to 7:45 p.m. Bring your smart phone with you to learn how to use its features. The instructor will be lecturing and answering questions on iPhones from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., and Droid & Windows phones from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m.
Italian Culture Group
The Avalon Free Public Library will host the Italian Culture Group on Oct. 9 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Meet with others interested in reviewing Italian language and learning more about Italian art, music, architecture, history and lifestyles.

Just Released Film Night
The Avalon Free Public Library will be showing The Heat, starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy on Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. This film is rated R for pervasive language, strong crude content and some violence. No one under 17 will be admitted without a parent or guardian.
