Aviation Museum’s AirFest
Friday, August 30th – Monday, September 2nd from 9 am to 5 pm
Where: Naval Air Station (NAS) Wildwood Aviation Museum, Cape May Airport, Rio Grande
Naval Air Station (NAS) Wildwood Aviation Museum will once again partner with The Collings Foundation to host AirFest and the 2013 Wings of Freedom Tour. This year, AirFest will return to the popular Labor Day Weekend format; Aug. 30 through Sept. 2. As the Museum’s largest annual fundraising event, AirFest will include famous WWII aircraft including the P-51 Mustang, B-17 Flying Fortress and B-24 Liberator. The public will be given a once in a lifetime opportunity to view, explore and even take a flight in these historic treasures. Separate fees required for fighter and bomber flight experiences. Aircraft are scheduled to arrive on Aug. 30 at approximately 2:00 p.m. and will be at the museum through Labor Day Monday. For flight reservations and tour information call 800-568-8924. FunFest Weekend
Saturday, August 31st – Sunday, September 1st from 10 am to 4:30 pm
Where: Historic Cold Spring Village, 720 Route 9 South, Cape May
Two days of family-friendly, interactive and educational fun are planned for Historic Cold Spring Village’s ‘FunFest Weekend,’ Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 31 and Sept. 1, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Children will be given a ‘Pastport’ at the start of their Village trip, which can be stamped at the buildings they visit after completing a take-home craft or activity, like writing with a quill pen, carding wool or making a pinch pot. Pastports can be redeemed at the Country Store for a free treat! The Family Activity Area will feature children’s dress-up clothes, historic games, and take-home crafts. Other family-friendly activities include free toy train rides, face painting, demonstrations by the New Jersey Blacksmith Association and live entertainment from Jim the Banjo Man. This jam-packed family-fun weekend event is sponsored by Crest Savings Bank.
Free Concert Under the Stars feat. The Rockets
Saturday, August 31st from 8 to 10 pm
Where: Excursion Park, JFK Blvd and Pleasure Ave, Sea Isle City

All American Car & Truck Show
Sunday, September 1st from 9 am to 5 pm
Where: Wildwoods Convention Center, 4501 Boardwalk, Wildwood
Come out and enjoy the American car and truck show on the Wildwoods Boardwalk. Awards will be presented. Contact Wildwood Motor Events at (609) 522-4546. Admission is free.
Handcraft Unlimited Labor Day Craft Show
Sunday, September 1st from 10 am to 4 pm
Where: Wildwoods Convention Center, 4501 Boardwalk, Wildwood
Quality crafters and merchandise of all kinds. There is something for everyone! Children under 12 enter free. Get your handstamped at the show for FREE re-admission all weekend! All major credit cards are accepted at every booth. For more info, call (717) 656-4849.
Wildwood Block Party and Music Festival
Sunday, September 1st from 12 pm to 8 pm
Where: Fox Park, Ocean Ave between Burk and Montgomery Aves, Wildwood
Come out and enjoy a family festival including crafts, games, rides, great food and continuous live entertainment.
Morey’s Piers Gone to the Dogs
Monday, September 2nd from 5:30 to 7:30 pm
Where: Ocean Oasis Waterpark at Morey’s Piers, Wildwood
Morey’s Piers’ Ocean Oasis Waterpark is opening its gates for the first time to dogs offering free admission for canines and $10 admission for owners and spectators, with 100% of proceeds benefiting the New Jersey SPCA. That evening, water bowls and free doggy treats will be stationed throughout Ocean Oasis Waterpark for dogs to recharge as they paddle around the endless river or cool off in the puddle pool. Seasonal favorites, lively libations, and homemade treats will be available for purchase when the Soggy Dollar Beach Bar transforms into the “Soggy Collar” Beach Bar offering special menus for both puppy companions and four-legged friends to enjoy while taking in the open-air ocean views and live entertainment. A variety of tail-wagging activities are scheduled including a doggie swimsuit competition starting at 7:00pm. Each dog will receive a Morey’s Piers’ souvenir Frisbee to take home. To participate, owners must pre-register their dogs and purchase tickets at www.moreyspiers.com/gonetothedogs by August 30.
