NORTH CAPE MAY – On consecutive Sunday evenings in late July and August, the Cape May – Lewes Ferry (CMLF) will host two special family performances designed to captivate young and old alike. Joining established on-board programs like Lighthouse Pete, the Pirate’s Family Fun Cruises and Rock the Boat sailings, the CMLF’s summer line-up of onboard activities positions the ferry crossing an experience, not simply a mode of transportation.
“Our on-board activities and programs aim to provide extra value for families looking for something unique to do while on vacation,” said Michael Porch, the marketing manager for the CMLF. “Taking a cruise on the Delaware Bay while enjoying great live entertainment, you can’t find a better value.”
The Great Holtzie
On Sunday, July 31, the Great Holtzie will be performing two 45-minute schedule shows in the DeBraak Lounge aboard the MV Twin Capes. For customers boarding in Cape May, a show will take place on the 4:30 p.m. departure while Lewes patrons will enjoy the same performance on the 6:15 p.m. sailing.
The Great Holtzie is an award winning stand-up comedian for kids 3-10. Holtzie has thrown the rules of children’s comedy entertainment out the window. Gone are the goofy costumes, creepy makeup and condescending tone. Holtzie insists on treating children like little people rather than little kids. And he has created an act that will make mom and dad laugh just as hard as their six-year-old.
From the absurd to classic slapstick, The Great Holtzie’s jokes captivate everyone, from preschoolers to parents. Whether he is arguing with a See n’ Say or taking a bite out of a “worm burger,” his hysterical routine keeps even the most active children glued to their seats. The Great Holtzie’s sharp comedy reflexes guarantee fits of laughter and screams of delight.
The cost is $18.00 for adults, $9.00 for children 6-13 and free for children 5 years and younger. Space is limited. Reservations are required at 800 643-3779. For more information on The Great Holtzie, please visit www.thegreatholtzie.com.
