‘Sunday Night at the Movies’ to be Held Feb. 15

VILLAS – Enjoy Sunday Night at the Movies Feb. 15 at The Branches, next to St. Mary’s Thrift Shop, behind Family Dollar on Rt. 47 at N. 2nd St & E. Vermont Ave, Rio Grande at 7 p.m. to see “Mrs. Brown” starring Judi Dench.
Grieving widow Queen Victoria withdraws into sadness for years until plainspoken manservant John Brown disrupts her mourning. Rated PG.
There is no charge for the movie and the evening is open to everyone. Movie goers can bring snacks and non-alcoholic beverages and enjoy a discussion after the movie.
The Branches is an outreach ministry of Episcopal Partners in Ministry in Cape May County: St. Barnabas by the Bay Episcopal Church, Villas and St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Stone Harbor.
Then, Feb. 22, St. Barnabas in Villas will host an organ recital.
David Joseph Condo will present an organ recital Feb. 22, at 3 p.m., at St. Barnabas by the Bay Episcopal Church, 13 W. Bates Ave., Villas. A free will offering will be taken and refreshments will follow the performance. The concert is open to the public. For information call 889-0667.
Mr. Condo has been active as a professional church musician for more than 20 years and is the organist and choirmaster at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Stone Harbor . As an organ recitalist, accompanist and chorister, he has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Mormon Tabernacle, St. Peter’s Basilica, St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, and Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.
