STONE HARBOR – Stone Harbor will hold their first Harvest Festival on Sat., Oct. 29 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The highlight of the event will be hayrides along the beach. Festival goers can pick-up the hayride in front the Stone Harbor Firehouse at 96th Street and 2nd Avenue and travel down 96th Street to the beach, ride along the beachfront and return to the Firehouse.
Trick or Treating in the downtown will be held for all children wearing Halloween costumes. And at 2 p.m., there will be a Pet Costume Contest in front of Paw Prints, 281 96th Street, prizes will be awarded. At 3 p.m., there will be a costume parade down 96th Street.
Throughout the day, pumpkin painting and Halloween Arts and Crafts will be happening, along with a Farmers Market, artisans and a Halloween Magic Show.
Scarecrows will be on display along 96th Street decorated by the merchants. Come vote for your favorite.
The Harbor Haunted Crawl featuring entertainment and food specials from Carney’s, Fred’s and the Stone Harbor Bar and Grill will take place throughout the weekend.
