By Press Release

MILFORD – Don’t be confused, it hasn’t happened yet! St. John’s German Oktoberfest is just around the corner. It will begin on Oct. 4 at 6 p.m. and continue on Oct. 5 at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church located on the corner of Seabury Avenue and School Place in Milford. Mark your calendar now!
The Festivities will kick off on Friday evening, Oct. 4 at 6:00 p.m. with The Funsters! No explanation is necessary as we all know the Funsters.
Dancing to the wonderful sounds of the Funsters will make you hungry, but don’t worry the ever popular Oktoberfest international food court will be serving up their traditional German entrees, along with Italian, Hispanic, Polish, Filipino, homemade crab cakes and good old Hamburgers, hot dogs, French fries, Italian Ice, and homemade baked desserts! There is something for everyone’s taste.
On Saturday, the festivities will begin at 10 a.m. with arts and crafts, White Elephant, helicopter rides, over 100 homemade desserts, and entertainment to carry you through the day.
We haven’t forgotten the kids. There will be games galore for them ranging from the inflatables such as the slide, moon walk, and the obstacle course. There will also be pony rides and a petting zoo.
Joe Kroboth and his orchestra will entertain us on Saturday afternoon along with the Enzian (German) dancers and the Irish School of Dancing.
On Saturday evening at 6 p.m. a new band, Triple Shot will take center stage to wrap-up the weekend.
We guarantee you an entertaining weekend and you will definitely not go away hungry. Please mark your calendar now for the 23rd Annual German Oktoberfest Weekend, Oct. 4th and Oct. 5th at St. John’s Church. For more information call Bonnie De Mar at 422-5123, ext. 13
