CAPE MAY — Lower Township’s free concert series at the Cape May-Lewes ferry terminal beginning with the Sensational Soul Cruisers begins on July 8 starting at 5 p.m.
The Sensational Soul Cruisers are an 11 man horn group fronted by four soulful vocalists who pay homage and tribute to classic performers from Otis Redding and the Drifters to Barry White and the Commodores. With a lifetime of study and hard work, this group captures and emulates the distinctive style, skill and choreography of a classic show band.
From the group’s humble beginnings rehearsing at the chicken coops on Route 33 to the basement of the Cycle Shop on Throckmorton Street, this band has come a long way from its “Eddie and the Cruisers” days to become one of Jersey’s best kept secrets. The group is known for concerts that pack energy, passion and musical ability into every show.
Plan Ahead. Future concerts include: The B Street Band on July 15, Separate Ways, a Journey tribute band, on July 22 and Morrison Brothers Country Concert on July 29.
The concerts are free to the public.
