Songs of Sandy Relief Concert Set at Church

By Herald Staff

CAPE MAY – “Songs of Sandy,” a relief concert will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, Hughes and Decatur streets Sun. Dec. 16 at 3 p.m.
The damage and destruction from Hurricane Sandy has been horrendous. New Jersey residents are still digging out from under piles of debris. Families’ lives have been shattered
To respond to the tragedy, leaders of Cape May Jazz Vespers will dedicate their last concert of the season to the Sandy Relief Fund. All the proceeds from the concert will go to that fund.
All-star performers from past concerts this season have been invited to the stage. They include: Barry Miles, Tim Lekan, Bob Shomo, Herb Moore, Ony Randrasana, Lois Smith, Bob Ferguson, and a couple of surprises. It will not be a “jam session.” They will play some of their favorites. And a few have agreed to play some Christmas tunes in their own style.
A $10 minimum contribution is suggested for this special concert. There is wheelchair accessibility and limited parking. For more information Call 884-0680 or visit www.capemayjazzvespers.com.
