Sixty Summers in Ocean City Lecture Set June 17

OCEAN CITY — The Ocean City Historical Museum announces its Thursday Nights at the Museum summer lecture series beginning June 17 and continuing through Sept. 2.
William Parkhurst will present his memoir Sixty Summers in Ocean City June 17, which chronicles his experiences as a child, father and grandfather. Parkhurst’s family has been spending summers in Ocean City since 1909. He will also discuss the process of researching, writing and self-publishing a memoir.
All lectures are free and are held at 7 p.m. in the new lecture hall at the Ocean City Community Center, 1735 Simpson Ave.
The lecture series is made possible through an outreach funding grant provided by the Ocean City Free Public Library Board of Trustees.
The City of Ocean City provides additional funding.
