CAPE MAY – Please join us for our Summer season of gallery walks in Cape May’s by visiting us on July 10th from 1-5 pm.
The Second Sunday of each month gives you an opportunity to chat with the featured artist and enjoy free refreshments while viewing fine crafts and art in all mediums made by a variety of local artists.
Walking maps are available at each gallery.
Begin your walk at the Artists’ Cooperative Gallery located just inside the West End Garage at 484 West Perry Street, Cape May. Free parking is available nearby.
Featured artist’s this month are Cindy Mahoney’s jewelry, Robin Hippel’s ceramics and Jody Swope’s mixed media works.
Next stop is The Carpenter’s Square Mall at 31 Perry Street where Spirit Catcher Photography will be showing their images of Cape May in Summer. Down the hall, SOMA NewArt Gallery will be presenting Sean Taylor’s new works, “View-Master – The World at Your Fingertips” and “Seasonal Landscapes” – Selected Paintings by Greg Bennett and “Portals”.
At Splash Whales Tale Gallery, just 2 blocks away at 513 Carpenters Lane look for their large selection of sea-inspired handcrafted art and jewelry. Take a short stroll past Victorian houses and B&B’s to the Gail Pierson Gallery, located at 658-660 Washington Street, where Judith Anderson returns with “Old Trains New Work”.
The Cape May County Art League will be present with their Prickly Pear Weekend Art Show and the Cape May Forum Poster and Artist signing by Sandra Bloodworth will also be happening.
End your Second Sunday Gallery Walk at the Mad Batter Restaurant at 19 Jackson Street. An Artists Reception will be held here from 3-5 pm with watercolors by Patricia Rainey and photography by Kelli Hoff. Here you can even take advantage of Happy Hour from 4:00PM -6:00PM and receive a 15% discount on dinner afterwards.
