SEA ISLE CITY — On Friday and Saturday, Nov. 23 – 24, during Thanksgiving Weekend, the Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the City of Sea Isle City will host the resort’s first Holiday Extravaganza. This new event will feature a variety of seasonable activities that will delight every member of the family.
The fun will begin at 5 p.m. on Fri., Nov. 23, in front of Sea Isle’s Excursion Park Band Shell, located next to the Promenade on JFK Boulevard, where the Extravaganza’s ice-skating rink will be positioned. Skate rentals will be available.
Families will also enjoy a Christmas Parade on Fri. at 5:30 p.m. featuring a fleet of decorated fire engines from around the region. Then, at 6 p.m. on Friday, Santa Claus will arrive at Excursion Park for a festive Tree Lighting Ceremony, which will include roasted chestnuts and hot cocoa.
The Extravaganza’s ice skating rink will be open again on Sat., Nov.24, from noon to 5 p.m. Also on Saturday, Santa Claus will return to Excursion Park from 2-4 p.m. for a meet-and-greet with children. There will also be live entertainment by the Middle Township High School Choir and other performers on Saturday.
On Saturday, until 5 p.m., patrons will be able to enter a drawing for an LCD flat screen television at participating stores and restaurants around town. Every $20 spent will earn one ticket for the drawing, which will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. The winner does not need to be present to win.
