SEA ISLE CITY – The members of the Sea Isle City Garden Club will host their annual Flower Sale Sat., May 19, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Sea Isle City Public School, 46th Street and Park Road (in the school’s playground on 46th Street).
The Flower Sale will feature a large selection of quality blossoms in flats, including begonias, marigolds, pansies, impatiens and many other popular flowers. There will also be a wide variety of herbs, hanging floral baskets and other potted plants for sale.
Proceeds will benefit the Garden Club’s scholarship program and other charitable efforts.
“One reason why the Garden Club sponsors this flower sale is because we have a desire to beautify our community,” said co-organizer Donna Hadfield. “Plus, with the money we raise, we are able to contribute to several worthwhile charities and also offer scholarships to students attending technical school.”
“Our flower sale is popular for many reasons,” added co-organizer Kathy Wilson. “In addition to selling quality flowers, which are grown locally at Windy Acres in Dennis Township, the members of our club are on hand during the sale to answer questions and give advice on how to plant and maintain your flowers. Our group has master gardeners and other members who have a great deal of gardening knowledge to share.”
