Sea Isle City to Host a Special Concert

By Press Release

SEA ISLE CITY – Music lovers won’t want to miss Sea Isle City’s “We’re Ready Concert” on May 4, which will feature a wide-range of musical entertainment. Hosted by the Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization, the We’re Ready Concert will take place between noon and 6 p.m. under a giant festival tent at KIX-McNutley’s on 63rd Street. Tickets cost $10 each and will be available at the door and also prior to the concert at KIX-McNutley’s, Diamonds Liquor Store (4009 Landis Avenue) and the Sea Isle City Welcome Center (300 JFK Boulevard).
The line-up on May 4 will include The Kenny Young Band (southern rock), Alex Glover & Company (variety), Real Diamond (Neil Diamond tribute), Young and Wise (Alternative Rock performers, who were the runners-up in Hard Rock Cafe’s 2013 Best New Band Competition), Sal Dupree, Christian Foti (a top contestant on TV’s American Idol) and several other special-guest performers. While the bands are taking the stage, D.J. Sam Catrambone, who is well-known for spinning records at The Pool at Harrah’s Casino in Atlantic City, will keep spirits high with lively music. The concert will be emceed by entertainer Eric Apelt.
According to Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization President Chris Glancey, the We’re Ready Concert will spotlight popular bands from across the region – all for a good cause.
“This concert is our first fund raiser to help pay for Sea Isle’s We’re Ready marketing campaign, which has very successfully let people know that Sea Isle City will be open for business this summer,” said Glancey. “Our billboard near the Lincoln tunnel has received a great deal of press coverage, and we’ve also received a lot of positive attention in general from the campaign. It’s going to be great summer in Sea Isle City, and we are very excited to welcome back all of our regular visitors – and some new ones too.”
“The We’re Ready Concert will be terrific,” added Glancey. “Many head liners from Sea Isle’s Saturday night concert series will be performing. Anyone who enjoys the summer concerts at our band shell will enjoy this event.”
