Sea Isle City’s Octoberfest Celebration is Oct. 19

By Press Release

SEA ISLE CITY – On Oct. 19, the Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization will host their annual Octoberfest celebration at Excursion Park, JFK Boulevard and the Promenade, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The family-friendly event will include free hayrides on the beach, live music by the Philadelphia German Brass Band, produce and craft vendors, a magic show, pumpkin painting and free children’s activities including face painters, balloon artists, inflatable obstacle courses and a rock-climbing wall.
The Octoberfest Pie-Baking Contest will take place on Oct. 19 at The Braca Café on JFK Boulevard. Pies of any type can be entered; pies from professional kitchens will not be accepted. Entries will be judged on taste, appearance and consistency. Prizes will be awarded to the bakers of the top three winning pies – including a first place prize of $100. When judging is complete, the bakers of any non-winning pie will be entered into a raffle for a gift certificate to a local restaurant. Winners need not be present.
To enter the Octoberfest Pie-Baking Contest, bakers must submit a completed entry form by Oct. 17. No entry fee is required. To download an entry form, visit www.seaislecitynj.us or www.seaislechamber.com.
