SEA ISLE CITY – Sea Isle City’s 2011 Halloween Parade, one of the resort’s many long-standing traditions, will take place on Fri., Oct. 21, at 7:00 p.m. along Landis Avenue (46th-40th Street). According to organizers, this year’s parade promises to be bigger and better than ever, with more music and additional entertainment for all.
The Halloween Parade will feature a wide variety of entrants from local civic groups, clubs, businesses and families. Prizes will be awarded to winning participants in several categories, including Walkers (up to age 12), Walkers (age 13 to adult), Families, Clubs and Organizations, Floats, and Canines in Costume. All dogs walking in the parade must be leashed, licensed and accompanied by an adult.
Those wishing to enter the Halloween Parade can do so by downloading an application form from Sea Isle’s website, www.seaislecitynj.us (click the “Quick Links/Downloadable Forms” tabs on the Home Page). Participants will be required to sign-in on the night of the parade at 6:30 p.m. in front of City Hall, 4416 Landis Avenue.
Immediately following this year’s parade, a free Halloween Family Dance Party will take place at the Excursion Park Band Shell, JFK Boulevard and the Beach. Winning parade entrants will receive their awards at the start of the Dance Party.
