Sea Isle City’s Annual Baby Parade to Take Place July 20

SEA ISLE CITY – On Wednesday, July 20, the 2011 Sea Isle City Baby Parade will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Sea Isle’s ocean-front Promenade, 34th to 44th Streets (rain date: July 21). This popular annual event, which is hosted by Sea Isle’s Tourism Department, will feature many beautiful children, up to age 10, who will be dressed in costumes or sporting their Sunday best while strolling along the Promenade and riding in floats. The event will also feature live music, Sea Isle’s 2011 Junior Miss and Little Miss Pageant contestants and many other participants.
Children appearing in Sea Isle’s Baby Parade will be judged in numerous categories. Prizes will be awarded to the Most Attractive Boy and Girl (up to 11 months old), the Most Attractive Boy and Girl (1-2 years). Prizes will also be awarded in Riding (Fancy, Comic and Original), Walking (Fancy, Comic and Original) and Float divisions. Winners will receive trophies and plenty of cheers from the crowds lining the Promenade.
To enter a child in the 2011 Sea Isle City Baby Parade, visit www.seaislecitynj.us and download an application from the “Quick Links” tab. Applications are also available at City Hall (4416 Landis Avenue), Sea Isle’s Beach Tag Office (125 JFK Boulevard), The Promenade Information Center (40th Street on the Promenade) and The Sea Isle City Tourism Office (122 West Jersey Avenue). All participants must be registered by July 19.
