SEA ISLE CITY— The Sea Isle City Public School’s Parent-Teacher Association will host its annual Holiday House Tour on Fri., Dec. 10, 6 – 9 p.m.
This year, the tour will include nine private residences, all of which are located in Sea Isle City.
Tickets cost $15 each, and the funds raised during this event will pay for student field trips, school assemblies and student enrichment programs.
The self-led tour will begin at the public school, 4501 Park Road, where there will also be food for sale and prizes up for grabs. In a show of support for a local food bank in need of donations, tour organizers ask that those who take this year’s tour bring an item of non-perishable food to the school, which will be collected during check-in.
Afterwards, tour-takers may leisurely visit any or all of the nine houses on the tour, which range from historic to modern homes.
According to P.T.A. President Tara Crowell Kutschera, the annual house tour is the result of a wonderful community effort.
“I truly feel that it takes a village to raise a child, and this event is a great example of that theory,” said Kutschera, who is the mother of three small children and a professor of public health at Richard Stockton College.
“The tour has grown in popularity, thanks to the efforts of many people in our town. Even people who don’t have children attending our public school contribute in valuable ways to make this event a success. Therefore, the community is contributing to the education of our children.”
For additional information about the house tour, phone 609- 263-3351. To purchase tickets in advance, stop by Sands Department Store, 6208 Landis Avenue in Sea Isle City. Tickets will also be available at the public school on the night of the tour.
