OCEAN CITY – Two changes have been necessitated in the series of free Bay-Atlantic Symphony music lectures by Paul M. Somers in Ocean City for December and February.
The December lecture, “Music During and Between the 20th Century Wars,” has been rescheduled to Jan. 15, at the same time and location. This lecture will survey how the music scene evolved from Irving Berlin to Beatles and beyond.
The January lecture, exploring The Golden Thread—an unbroken line of connections from medieval chant to Gershwin, will take place on Jan. 8, as scheduled.
Somers, Adult Education Director for the Bay-Atlantic Symphony, is a also a composer, performer, founder of Maurice River Music, was for 25 years the harpsichordist for the Virtuoso Strings of New York, and was a reviewer for the Star-Ledger.
