“Savor September” Food, Wine and Beer Festival Set for Sep. 21st

By Sponsored Content

The 2nd annual Stone Harbor ‘Savor September Food, Wine and Beer Festival will be held Saturday, September 21st, 2013 (rain date Sunday, Sept. 22). Building on the success of the 2012 event, an expanded event is planned for Stone Harbor this year. From Noon until 8 PM, a beautifully tented 200 block of 96th Street will again set the stage for showcasing the best restaurants, wineries, microbreweries, foods, art, music and culture our area has to offer.
This event – with beer and wine tasting, oyster and clam shucking, crafts for kids, zoo animals, art activities, a cafe with fire pits for evening live entertainment as well as the hugely popular grape stomping competition – again has the potential to bring thousands into town for a fun and successful September Saturday.
Exciting news this year, Tuckahoe Brewery has agreed to produce a “Stone Harbor Brew” with our own label and Cape May Winery will produce a “Stone Harbor Red” and a “Stone Harbor White” with our own labels, as well, to be available at the festival! Guests can enjoy live music all day and the ever-popular Eddie Morgan’s “Reck’d for Jazz” livens up the evening.
On Friday night September 20th, preceding the Festival, Stone Harbor will hold a ticket-only Harvest Moon “Shine-On” from 5:30 – 9 PM. A raw bar provided by Cape Fisheries and appetizers by The Painted Pie will be offered as guests witness the unveiling of Cape May Winery’s new “Stone Harbor Red” and “Stone Harbor White” blends as well as Tuckahoe Brewery’s “Stone Harbor Brew”.
Music will be provided by “Soulshine” for Harvest moonlight dancing. Tickets, available at the Stone Harbor Chamber of Commerce, are $50 each and include raw bar, appetizers and one beer or wine.
