Purple Reign Band Concludes Crest Summer Music Series

By Press Release

WILDWOOD CREST – The popular Wildwood Crest Free Summer Music Series is set to come to an exciting end this weekend.
Purple Reign, one of the hottest and most sought after bands in the Philadelphia and South Jersey region, will take the stage at Centennial Park Aug. 30 at 7:30 p.m. in the final performance of the 2013 Wildwood Crest Free Summer Music Series. Purple Reign returns after a stellar performance in its first-ever appearance in the Crest last summer.
First an original band that began in the 1970s that produced a national hit record in 1975, Purple Reign regularly performs some of the most popular music of today. An outstanding rhythm section, scintillating horns and tremendous vocals allow Purple Reign to play everything from Sinatra to Lady Gaga, as well as many of the hits from disco, Motown and ‘80s and ‘90s dance music.
Centennial Park is located at Fern Road and Ocean Avenue. Those attending Saturday’s show should bring a blanket or a chair. The performance is free and open to the entire family.
The Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series is supported by the Wildwood Crest Tourism Development Commission and the Wildwood Crest Recreation Department. This year’s Summer Music Series included 21 live music shows each Wednesday and Saturday from late June through Labor Day weekend.
Wildwood Crest will host one more evening of live music at Centennial Park in 2014 Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. when Big House takes the stage to kick off the Seafarers Weekend celebration, followed by a beachfront fireworks display at 9 p.m.
