CAPE MAY – Learn about and develop your own poetry in this poetry writing workshop led by Dr. Sylvia Baer, poet and director of The Poetry Center at Gloucester County College, a translator, past editor of a poetry journal and professor of literature and creative writing.
Learn the specifics of two traditional poetry forms, such as sestinas, villanelles, and sonnets. Discover how master poets use those forms, and be guided in writing your own work using the featured forms. Participants will not be required to share their writing.
The workshop will be held Mondays, July 1, 8 and 15, 5 -6:30 p.m. at the Carriage House Cafe & Tearoom on the grounds of the Physick Estate, 1048 Washington St. Cost is $25 each session.
