Beef hot dogs will also be available. Enjoy live musical entertainment by Twelve Strings and a guest appearance and performance by guitarist Geno White, along with a Chinese auction, door prizes and a 50/50 raffle. Built in 1859, the Cape May Lighthouse is one of three historic sites maintained and operated by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC). Nearly 100,000 visitors a year experience a visit to the top of the lighthouse, participating in a century old rite of a visit to the Jersey Shore.
Join us for the 25/20 Cape May Lighthouse Celebration on May 11, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. to mark the 25th anniversary of MAC reopening the Cape May Lighthouse for climbs to the top, and the release after 20 years of the digitally re-mastered CD by Cape May guitarist Geno White, “Music From Inside the Lighthouse,” in which he recorded tracks from inside the 1859 Cape May Lighthouse. Hear the gentle sounds of White playing live on the grounds, enjoy lighthouse-themed entertainment and climb the 199 steps to the top. For more information, see www.capemaymac.org.
