CAPE MAY – Peter Nero and the Philly Pops return to Cape May, Saturday, May 25 for a Memorial Day Weekend Concert at Convention Hall.
Nero, a two-time Grammy Award-winning pianist, looks forward to returning to Cape May for his second annual engagement. The music director, along with “the best (orchestra) in the entire cosmos,” will perform a variety of music including contemporary rock ‘n’ roll, big band standards, and the classics.
“It’s a real honor for us here in Cape May,” said Mayor Edward J. Mahaney, Jr. “That just after completing his 2013 season in Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center, Peter Nero is coming here to perform with the Philly Pops.”
The concert runs approximately two and a half hours and will include a 15 minute intermission.
Tickets can be purchased at Convention Hall, online at www.capemayconventionhall.org, or by calling 855-708-9699. Tickets cost $95 and include a commemorative program.
Street parking is available around Convention Hall or those attending may take advantage of free trolley service that will run to and from Cape May Elementary School on Lafayette Street.
