By Press Release

WILDWOOD CREST – Vini “Mad Dog” Lopez, the original drummer for Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band, made a surprise appearance at Wildwood Crest’s Centennial Park July 5. Lopez took the stage to perform with the B Street Band, a long-running Springsteen tribute band, during a Wildwood Crest Free Summer Music Series show. Lopez, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year along with other members of the E Street Band, played the drums for four songs with the B Street Band during the middle of its two-hour set performed in front of approximately 3,500 people. The Wildwood Crest Free Summer Music Series features live music at Centennial Park, located at Fern Road and Ocean Avenue, each Wednesday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. through Aug. 30.
