Ocean City Arts Center Accepting Art Show Entries Through Oct. 25

By Press Release

OCEAN CITY – The Ocean City Arts Center is accepting entries for the Annual Juried Art Show through Oct. 25. Original fine art on canvas or paper will be accepted and must be framed and wired. Oil/acrylics, watercolor, pastels, mixed media, drawing and printmaking are eligible for the show. No prints of originals or photography will be accepted for this show. The entry fee is $15 per piece and up to two pieces may be submitted. Artwork may be up to 40 by 40 inches. Work must be no older than three years.
“This is a great juried show because we see new artists apply as well as those that are known in the Community. It’s a good opportunity for beginners to show their work and perhaps, sell it. For art enthusiasts the show will feature many different styles and mediums,” said Executive Director Rosalyn Lifshin.
An Awards Reception, which is free and open to the public, will be held Fri., Nov. 11, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The prizes, sponsored by the Atlantic City Schultz/Hill Foundation, include Best of Show at $200; Second Place at $100; Third Place at $100; and four $50 Honorable Mention Awards.
Artwork that is accepted by the Judges will be featured in the main gallery throughout Nov. and may be sold.
To apply, visit www.oceancityartscenter.org, or call (609) 399-7628, or visit the Ocean City Arts Center at 1735 Simpson Avenue. The Center is open 9 am to 9 p.m., weekdays, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sat.
