OC Fine Arts League Announces “Travel Inspirations” Winners

OCEAN CITY — The Ocean City Fine Arts League announces winners of the “Travel Inspirations” March Show. Over 80 pieces of artwork were submitted as artists shared their travels at the “Art on Asbury” Gallery.
1st place – Chef King – Michael Zambelli, Ventnor
2nd place – Bring Me Dream – Grace Zambelli, Ventnor
Honorable Mentions:
• Pebble Beach – Brenda Bradford, Hammonton
• Reflecting Pond – Lisa Ferraro, Seaville
• Palm Beach Mediterranean – Rae Jaffe, Ocean City
• Summer Orchard – Barbara Rosin, Philadelphia, PA
The “Meet the Artists” reception will be held on Friday, March 14 from 6pm-7:30pm. Light refreshments will be served and the event is open to the public.
All artwork is for sale, so visit the “Art on Asbury” Gallery and experience lands close and far at the “Travel Inspirations” Show.
Plus, it’s all about the Earth and our environment this April at the “Art on Asbury” Gallery as Ocean City Fine Arts League presents two shows, one dedicated to architecture and another that promotes Ocean City’s efforts to go green.
The Ocean City Fine Arts League invites all artists to submit up to two entries for the “Architectural Insights” competition and exhibition. This includes buildings -from rural to urban. Maximum size is 50 united inches (length + width). Entry fee is $5 for members and $10 for non-members. Entries are accepted in all mediums and can reflect any theme. Entries can be dropped off Friday, March 28, Saturday, March 29, Sunday, March 30 and Monday, March 31.
The Ocean City “Protect Our Environment” show will feature artwork created from recyclable plastic, metal and/or paper. Entry is free and 2D art must be 18” x 20” or smaller, 3D art must be 15”x15”x15” or smaller. Entries can be dropped off between March 15 – March 20. Eight cash or merchandise prizes will be awarded.
There will be a “Meet The Artist” reception and awards presentation for the “Architectural Insights” show will be held on Friday, April 11 from 6pm-7:30pm. Light refreshments will be served. The event is free and open to the public and the show runs through the end of March.
