Now Is the Time to ‘Fall’ in Love with Wildwood

By Press Release

WILDWOOD — Labor Day may be the unofficial end of summer for most resort towns, but here in the City of Wildwood, fall is the perfect time to visit as we continue to jam-pack our schedule with exciting events that showcase our beach resort.
Sept. in Wildwood finds each day filled with events.
The New Jersey State Firemen’s Convention and Parade comes to the city Sept. 12 – 14. Welcomed in Wildwood since 1975, firefighters from throughout New Jersey convene and kick back. Fun and food abound at the city’s Olde Time Italian Festival which takes place Sept. 27 – 28. For car and truck enthusiasts, the Boardwalk Classic Car Show and Auction, the Wild Thang Chrysler Car Show and the famous Monster Truck Beach Bash round out the month of Sept.
In Oct., residents and visitors alike can partake of the free Seafood and Music Festival. Wildwood, long known as the doo-wop capital of the world, makes sure the weekend of Oct. 18 -19 are happy days when guys and gals can jitterbug their way to the Fabulous ‘50s & Beyond weekend.
Fall finds Wildwood alive with visitors who make their way to the city’s world famous Boardwalk as well as its wide free beach. Days are filled with cloudless, bright blue skies; gentle ocean breezes and warm water. Nights are filled with great food, bright lights and stargazing over the ocean.
Autumn in Wildwood is just as exciting as summer. Many shops, hotels, motels and restaurants remain open. Our famous amusement piers are ready to thrill and entertain. A walk along the Boardwalk can still mean a taste of salt water taffy, funnel cake and a souvenir to take home.
“We have just as much to offer in the fall as we do in the summer,” said Mayor Ernie Troiano. “If you’ve experienced Wildwood in the summer, you’ll be equally impressed, if not more, with Wildwood in the fall.”
