North Wildwood Celebrates National Lighthouse Day

NORTH WILDWOOD – North Wildwood celebrated National Lighthouse Day at Hereford Inlet Lighthouse Aug. 7.
The day was meant to celebrate 225 years of great lighthouse heritage, history and the contributions they have made to provide safety and guidance to ships at sea.
Visitors were treated to guest speakers, including Captain Todd Prestidge, Commanding Officer U. S. Coast Guard Training Center, Cape May, as well as music, authors, artists, food, special exhibits and children’s activities.
