New Tradition Begins in Stone Harbor

By Press Release

STONE HARBOR – Stone Harbor has a beautiful marina at 80th Street and the Bay and is an ideal location for a sunset ceremony.
Every Tuesday night in July and August, Stone Harbor is hosting a flag lowering ceremony, entertainment and refreshments on the dock of the bay.
The event kicks-off each week at 7 PM.
Local musician Jamie Ratchford will entertain the crowds during the month of July.
Boy Scout Troop 65 from Cape May Court House will participate in the flag lowering ceremony each week at sunset.
Joann DelVescio, Tourism Director for the Borough of Stone Harbor stated “the marina is such a prime attraction in Stone Harbor but has not been used for special events, we think this is a great opportunity for our visitors and residents to enjoy the marina and its amenities while relaxing with entertainment and beautiful sunsets. It is the perfect location for family photographs.”
There is plenty of room for lawn chairs and blankets. Refreshments are available.
For more information, contact the Stone Harbor Chamber of Commerce at 368-6101.
