New Jersey Audubon’s “Autumn Early Bird Promotion”

NEW JERSEY – No one knows better than New Jersey Audubon that the ‘early bird catches the worm.’ That’s why New Jersey Audubon is holding its Autumn Early Bird Promotion in early August; offering discounts on numerous items at all nine of the New Jersey Audubon Nature Centers throughout New Jersey.

From Saturday, August 6 – Sunday, August 14, shoppers will get 20% off books, gifts, feeders, birdseed, optics accessories, clothing and more. In addition, clearance items will be marked down by 60%. NJ Audubon Members save even more with the Membership Discount.
NJ Audubon Centers offer 110 years of natural history insight—something you cannot find in just any retail store. They sell a unique mix of merchandise that puts the natural world in your hands, including: premier binoculars; spotting scopes and tripods; field guides and other natural history books for adults and children; a variety of instructional and recreational bird and nature-related audio/video; bird feeders, birdhouses, and birdseed; and quality gifts for nature lovers including clothing, jewelry, stationery, food items, children’s books, toys, games, puppets, puzzles and more.
NJ Audubon Nature Centers offer extensive information and visitor centers with a focus on nature, the natural world and the work and mission of NJ Audubon. The centers are largely staffed by dedicated NJ Audubon personnel and volunteers who are as fascinated by the natural world as their customers.
FREE Seminar – Enjoying Summer Backyard Birds
In conjunction with the fall promotion, select Nature Centers will host a free seminar entitled, “Enjoying Summer Backyard Birds” with guest presenter Evan Mann, Program Director for Aspen Song Wild Bird Food. Mann is an avid birder who has spent 20-plus years working in the birdseed industry. He will share his enthusiasm, experience, and insights on the following dates at the following three different locations:

This free seminar will also include an audio and visual presentation featuring:
•Identifying summer visitors
•Creating a bird-friendly habitat
•Using nest boxes to attract cavity-nesters

•Choosing the feeder/seed combinations best suited for summer visitors
