CAPE MAY — At its recent Annual Meeting, the board of directors of Cape May Stage elected new officers whose terms became effective Jan. 1.
Gail Wilsey Morrison was elected board president, with Susan Teitelman elected to serve as first vice president. Fred May was elected treasurer, Yvonne Kuemmerle was elected secretary and Stephen Miller was reelected to serve as second vice president.
Having begun their terms with Cape May Stage’s fiscal year, these officers will each serve a two-year term, helping to aide the theatre in its mission and growth. “We are grateful for the service of all board members, especially our officers,” said Jon Wojciechowski, managing director at Cape May Stage. “I look forward to working with the board to develop a long term vision for the theatre that will ensure our success for another 25 years and beyond.”
Gail Wilsey Morrison is a lifelong resident of Cape May and broker/owner of Wilsey Realty. She has served as a member of the board for 6 years and has worked on many board committees and activities including finance, fundraising, and real estate.
“I am excited by the challenge of leading our board and look forward to all that we can accomplish this season,” Wilsey Morrison said. “We have many challenges ahead of us, but fortunately we have strong community support and many opportunities to continue the growth that we saw in 2013.”
The previous officers of the board of directors were Mary Trella (board president), Leslie Martel (first vice president), Catherine Rein (treasurer), and Heather Turner (secretary). All remain on the board, except for Rein, who has chosen to leave the board but supports the board through other activities.
