National Arts Program to be Held for County Artists

COURT HOUSE – The Cape May County Division of Culture & Heritage announces The National Arts Program for 2014. The 13th Annual Exhibit and Awards will be held from Nov. 6 to Dec. 3 at the Middle Township Performing Arts Center, 212 Bayberry Drive, Cape May Court House. The National Arts Program is designed to give all artists, at all skill levels, an opportunity to exhibit their work in a professional manner and to compete for cash prizes. Sponsored by the National Arts Program Foundation in support and cooperation with the Cape May County Culture & Heritage Commission, the exhibit is judged by professional artists and visual art professionals in Amateur, Intermediate, Professional and Youth classifications and it is free to all. Don’t miss this chance to be recognized for your creativity.
Any artist who is an employee of Cape May County Government, Cape Regional Medical Center, members of Culture & Heritage Organizations or immediate family members of an above employee or member, and all Cape May County School District employees, volunteers, and students are eligible to enter. Entries submitted must be original works of art completed within the last three years.
Categories to be exhibited include painting (oils, acrylics), works on paper (watercolor, pencil, ink, charcoal, pastels, marker, crayon, digital), photography, sculpture, craft (ceramics, glasswork, jewelry, woodcarving, fiber) and mixed media (a work of visual art that combines more than one medium). Prizes and awards will be given in Adult Amateur, Intermediate and Professional categories, and in Youth 12 and Under, and Teen 13 – 18. Artists may submit 2 works per person.
The registration deadline for participating is October 24th. Artists may register online at www.nationalartsprogram.org/venues/cape-may-county or by registration form.
