Museum Masters at Ocean Galleries

By On Deck Staff

Ocean Galleries, 9618 Third Avenue, Stone Harbor (609-368-7777) will host the world-class exhibit “Museum Masters: from Rembrandt to Picasso,” July 17-19.
Guests will have the opportunity to acquire artwork from some of the greatest museum masters of all times.
Spanning more than 300 years of art history, from Rembrandt in the 1600s through Picasso in the 1900s, the event will present a truly impressive selection for everyone’s taste and budget, from the first-time buyer to the seasoned collector.
The weekend long event will feature receptions with show curator Jerry Block, who will give informative talks and partner with the Ocean Gallery staff to answer all questions.
“Imagine enjoying a show spanning over 300 years of artwork by some of the greatest artists in all of history,” Block said.
“These artists created original master prints from their own hand and approved of small limited editions. With more than one image to sell, the cost for a multi-original could then be offered for a fraction of the price of a one-of-a-kind creation.
“All of these masters have paintings that sell at auction for millions of dollars. Their original master prints are collected by the greatest museums in the world and have sold for over $1 Million,” he added. “Our show will offer original master prints starting under $5,000, as well as rarer works in all price ranges up to $100,000.
“We truly have something for everyone. There is no better time than now to bring the beauty and positive energy of these creative masters into our homes to inspire our family and friends.”
Ocean Galleries is a distinguished art gallery and custom frame shop with locations in Stone Harbor and Avalon.
They have become nationally renowned, hosting shows with such artists as Peter Max, Howard Behrens, Hessam, and Jane Seymour.
Both locations feature an ever-revolving display of artwork that includes local artists’ watercolors, nationally-recognized artists’ originals, beach prints and high-end limited editions.
Curator receptions will be held 7-10 p.m. July 17 and 18, and again from 1-4 p.m. July 19.
