WILDWOODS – Summer may be over but the celebrations continues at Morey’s Piers & Beachfront Waterparks. On September 29, Morey’s Piers hosts its annual Super Sunday festivities on Mariner’s Landing from 11 am – 5 pm with fun for the entire family.
Guests can enjoy $25 ride wristbands, strolling entertainment, face painting and the final judging of the Morey’s Piers first ever Curley Fry Dipping Sauce Contest from 1 pm – 3 pm. The competition kicked off on National French Fry Day, July 13 and ran through September 2, with more than 30 fry enthusiasts submitting their dipping sauce recipes for the chance to win $500 and free Curley’s Fries in 2014. At the event, the top five finalists will be on site creating their recipes for guests of the piers to judge. To participate as a judge, Curley’s Fries fans are invited to purchase their choice of tasting kits for $7 or $8 which includes five sauce tasting cups, one regular or bucket sized container of Curley’s Fries and a voting ballot.
“Selecting the top finalists already had our mouth’s watering…we know it’s going to be a close competition,” added Maggie Warner, spokesperson for Morey’s Piers.
Mariner’s Landing is open weekends through October 13, 2013. For more information on Morey’s Piers, visit www.moreyspiers.com.
