This spring, Morey’s Piers, located on the boardwalk of Wildwoods, NJ, turns education into “a day at the beach” with fun-infused school programs that range from classroom fund raisers and educational class trips, to a special pier-wide celebration for teachers.
Designed to encourage hands-on learning and interactive participation in a vibrant setting, Education Extravaganza is a full-day class trip complete with innovative workshops, entertainment and amusement rides for students in grades 3-12. Available on May 28, 29, and 30, 2014, each class trip date includes:
• Raging Waters Waterpark pass valid 10 am – 5 pm
• Mariner’s Landing Pier ride pass valid 11 am – 5 pm
• Workshop sessions (Available 5/29 and 5/30 only) such as Seashore Ecology, Basic Physics Boardwalk Style, Peer Leadership on the Beach, and Peek Behind the Scenes of the Ghost Ship
• One free chaperone for each 10 students
• Free bus parking
Each year, Morey’s Piers welcomes more than 5,000 students from 65 schools during Education Extravaganza. Angela Della Valle, ESL/Language Arts Middle School Teacher from King of Prussia, PA added, “our end of the year annual trip to Morey’s Pier has become a famous tradition in our middle school…this year will mark our 10th year. The combined experience of the educational programs, water park, rides, and day on the boardwalk have made precious memories for our students that they talk about for years to come. Plus the staff at Morey’s always makes our trips so special.”
Classrooms that register for Education Extravaganza will receive significant savings, up to 50% off, compared to general admission prices. Schools that register by January 31, 2014 will receive the early registration price of $23 per student. Price per student is $25 for registrants between February 1 and May 10, 2014. Payment is not required at time of registration; all final payments due May 10, 2014. Catered lunch and meal voucher options are also available. To download a registration form, click here.
