By Press Release

An evening of Broadway favorites will come to life as professional members of the Ocean City Theatre Company’s 2010 Season join Broadway Star and Miss America 1998 Kate Shindle in an exciting look at American Musical Theatre. The event scheduled for 7:30 PM on June 30, 2010 at the historic Ocean City Music Pier will be a perfect way to kickoff the third official Season of the Ocean City Theatre Company.
Kate Shindle most recently appeared as Vivian Kensington in the Broadway hit Legally Blonde , which had an award-winning run on Broadway and was featured on MTV. Other Broadway credits include productions of Jekyll and Hyde and as Sally Bowles in Cabaret. She has appeared at Regional Theatres across the country, in several Broadway touring productions and in a Broadway revue that was featured in Atlantic City.
Kate Shindle is excited to return to the Jersey Shore as she has many memories from the area, from summers on the beaches in the Ocean City area to being crowned Miss America 1998 in Atlantic City. Shindle was a ground-breaking Miss America with a talent that has won the respect of many.
The “Broadway on the Boardwalk Cabaret” is being produced by Ocean City Theatre Company Artistic Director Michael Hartman and will feature Ocean City Theatre Company’s Resident Music Director Jonathan Kreamer on the piano.
