COURT HOUSE – A ten part holiday show season called “Come To Christmas”, headlined by the New Jersey Ballet has been announced for the Performing Arts Center of Middle Township by its managing director Kay Aspell.
The New Jersey Ballet will open the holiday season at The PAC on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 23, at 2 with its annual production of “The Nutcracker.” The company, which this year was voted New Jersey’s favorite dance company in a state-wide poll, will mark its 21st year of performances at the arts center. The PAC will be celebrating its 23rd anniversary in December as a key cultural and educational center in Cape May County.
Meanwhile, pianist Linda Gentille and The Jersey Shore Pops Orchestra will celebrate the season with a Saturday matinee “Bugler’s Holiday” concert Dec. 13 at 2 p.m. starring the talented musicians who perform with the orchestra.
Eight other programs are scheduled in keeping with The PAC’s commitment to serve the community through arts and education.
“This is a beautiful time of the year, and we at The Performing Arts Center make a special effort to celebrate with our programming,” said Aspell.
Other scheduled holiday events include: Thursday, December 4, at 7 p.m., Middle Township High School choir holiday concert; Dec. 7, at 3 p.m., The John Walters Community Band; Dec. 8 at 7 p.m., Middle Township Middle School holiday concert; Dec. 11, Middle Township High School band concert at 7 p.m.; Dec. 12, at 6:30 p.m., “Polar Express at the PAC”; Dec. 14, at 3 p.m., Dance Dynamics Christmas show; Dec. 17, at 7 p.m., Dennis Township school concert; and Dec. 20, at 6 p.m., Middle Township Council on the Arts Christmas show.
