NORTH WILDWOOD—Versatile Michelle Dawn Mooney will say it in words and music when she keynotes the ninth annual North Wildwood Beach Writers Conference at a dinner on Wednesday, June 8, at the Wildwoods Convention Center.
Mooney, anchor for NBC’s Channel 40 News and a songwriter and singer, will be among 16 speakers from five states–Indiana, Delaware, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania–who will address the two-day conference beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7.
Mooney will speak on the subject of songwriting and will demonstrate her talent by singing her original work.
In addition to Mooney, a stellar line-up of speakers will talk on a variety of subjects ranging from writing mysteries, to children’s stories, plays, historical novels, poetry and memoirs.
Among the other speakers will be former soap opera actress (“One Life To Live”) and writer Cordelia Frances Biddle, who will speak on writing historical novels; Wildwood High School graduate Lou Harry, who became a leading literary figure in Indiana; Gayle Stahlhuth, artistic director of the East Lynne Theater Company who will talk on the 10 Minute Play; Avalon Police Chief David Dean who has been writing published mysteries since 1990; Ferida Wolf, a frequent contributor to the Chicken Soup for the Soul books who will lead a workshop designed to help writers mold their stories into publishable works.
This exciting event includes writing contests with cash prizes, a Book Bazaar, and very special individualized feedback for writers like manuscript evaluations and first page critiques.
The registration fee of $95 includes a continental breakfast and dinner with the keynote speaker, as well as lunchtime entertainment on Wednesday. An evening of fun and entertainment is also available for attendees.
And there’s so much more!
