COURT HOUSE – The Cape May County Library is offering an alternative creative writing workshop. The workshop, “Creative Writing through the Senses,” will be held at 10 a.m. on the first Tuesday of every month beginning January 11 at the Main Branch of the Library. The library is located at 30 Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House.
The workshop’s goal is to teach a method of writing that forges a clear and easily accessible way to accomplish deep writing. Participants will learn to write stories as naturally as they “sense” them.
Sandi Wheaton is a recently retired Licensed Creative Art Therapist with a Master’s degree from Drexel University. Wheaton did post graduate work at the Mind Body Institute at Harvard.
Participants are requested to bring writing materials such as paper, pencils or pens.
There is no charge for the classes; however, space is limited, so registration and a valid library card are required. Registration can be done by calling 463-6350 or online at www.cmclibrary.org.
