Main Library Continues Lecture Series on Music

Cape May Court House – The fourth monthly lecture on music presented by Paul Somers of The Bay-Atlantic Symphony will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21 at the Main Branch of the Cape May County Library. The library is located at 30 Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House.
Music scholar, enthusiast, composer and lecturer Paul Somers will explore “Ethno-musicology: Bartók, Kodály, Holst, Vaughan, Copland and 20th century modernism during the lecture.
The Bay-Atlantic Symphony, established in 1983 as the Bridgeton Symphony, gives performances in four South Jersey counties and has an impressive ensemble receiving national recognition. Educational and other partnering in the community is central to the Bay-Atlantic Symphony’s purpose.
