MAC Presents 22nd Annual Cape May Music Festival Gala

By Press Release

CAPE MAY – Transport your taste buds and “Come Fly with Us” at the annual Cape May Music Festival Gala, presented by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC) on Sunday, May 15 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the newly restored Joseph Hall Cottage, 645 Hughes St.
This year’s Gala hosts, Doug and Anna Marie McMain, owners of the Queen Victoria B&B, invite you to their lovingly restored home, the Joseph Hall Cottage, which was interpreted on canvas by the famous painter, Thomas Kincaid, and was the first home in Cape May to be painted in authentic Victorian colors. The Gala will be catered by the Washington Inn, which will take your senses on a journey across the world when it presents “Come Fly with Us,” a wine tasting featuring flights of Italian, French and Argentinean wines. The Carriage House Tearoom & Café has thoughtfully paired the wines to hors d’oeuvres, which help complete your palate’s delight.
Throughout the afternoon, you’ll have the chance to bid on spectacular live and Chinese auction prizes, such as original art, dining gift certificates and one-of-a-kind experiences including a channeling session with Cape May’s famous psychic medium, paranormal investigator and ghost writer, Craig McManus. Some of the items up for bid include the following: performances by Cape May Stage and East Lynne Theater Company, a “Girls Night Out Party” valued at $400 courtesy of Lace Silhouettes Lingerie, an area rug courtesy of Avalon Carpet & Tile valued at $299, VIP Passes to Morey’s Piers, lunch with Congressman Frank LoBiondo in Washington DC, gift certificates to Cape May National Golf Club, Cape May-Lewes Ferry, Summer Cottage Inn, Union Park Dining Room, and the Washington Inn, plus gift baskets and certificates from many of Cape May’s fine restaurants and shops, tickets to sporting events and cultural attractions, artwork and hand crafted gifts from local galleries and artists, and much more!
Admission is $50 per person (or complimentary to any donor at the $1,000 level or more to the Music Festival). For tickets call 609-884-5404 or 800-275-4278 ext. 115. Proceeds help support MAC’s flagship cultural offering, the Cape May Music Festival, which brings world-class orchestral, chamber music performances and a popular world traditions series to the city every spring.
The Cape May Music Festival is funded in part by PNC Arts Alive, The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State.
